Directions to Our Practice
If you’ve never been to our urgent care center before, here are two easy routes you could take, using the Seascape Family Aquatic Center as a starting point:
- To get to our Streamwood location, get onto Golf Rd heading west, then turn left onto Sutton Rd. When you draw level with the Starbucks, turn right into the parking lot. We’re in the same building as Dunkin’ on your right, at 644 S Sutton Rd.
- To get to our Palatine location, get onto Moon Lake Blvd heading northwest, then turn left onto Higgins Rd and right onto Barrington Rd. Turn right onto Dundee Rd. After 5.8 miles, turn left onto Lynda Dr, then immediately right into the parking lot. We’re in the third building on your left, at 770 E Dundee Rd.
How Much Local History Do You Know?
Hoffman Estates is a village suburb of Chicago that straddles Cook County and Kane County. It has a population of over 52,000 people. Before the 1940s, German settlers moved into the area that was known as Wildcat Grove, which at that point was only sparsely populated. In 1954, Sam and Jack Hoffman, a father-son construction company, bought 160 acres of land and began to develop the region that now bears their name.
In the ‘60s, annexations north of the Northwest Tollway and other neighboring regions doubled the land area of Hoffman Estates, and the opening of Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg in 1971 made the area a major business center. Residents rejected attempts to change the village’s name to East Barrington in the ‘80s. Many Japanese companies have their US headquarters in the area, and Asian American residents make up the second-largest demographic.
A great place to visit in Hoffman Estates during the summer months is the Seascape Family Aquatic Center. The center includes a heated pool, beach-style entry, water slides, a diving area, a water playground for smaller kids, and tasty concessions. Sign your kids up for swim lessons and enjoy the sunny days together. Don’t forget your sunscreen!

That means there is some overlap between the scope of practice in urgent care medicine and many other medical specialties involving direct patient care.
